DIAGNOSIS
OF CAUSE OF HAIR PROBLEM
First step in proper treatment of hair fall is accurate diagnosis of cause of hair loss / fall problem. So we first try to find out the cause. We take detailed history, thorough nutritional counseling, physical examination, and examination of the hormonal system. After that depending on likelihood of particular, cause relevant tests are done. At our
center we have the facility for all the diagnostic tests needed for the diagnosis of the cause of hair problems, the charges of various tests are either similar or even it is lesser than outside. Thus you may consult us at our
center & at the same time you may get all test done also. The time taken in getting all the reports ready is 36 hours. So if you are not from Delhi, you may come here for two days.
DETAILED HISTORY:
Onset: Sudden/gradual, Primary or Secondary, Response to previous therapy, Libido, Stress (physical or mental), H/O precipitation by some drugs, HT, trauma, DM, Sec. Sexual Characters, Hypothyroidism / Hyperthyroidism.
INVESTIGATIONS
i.e. DIAGNOSTIC TESTS:

The various diagnostic tests needed/performed are as follows: -

I: Hormone Testing: Hormone
Screening tests are
done.Hormones are tested by latest-immunoassay techniques. These
hormones includes total Testosterone, free testosterone Prolactin, LH,
FSH, T3, T4, TSH others as Cortisol, E2,
SHBG etc. Among above tests relevant hormones are tested in that
particular patient depending on history & examination. Results are
available in 36 hours. When we find out any of above hormone disorder
simply correction of these hormone disorders corrects the hair problem
in three months time. Blood glucose & other systemic test as
test for kidney, liver etc. done.
HEMOGRAM, LFT
Calcium, Phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase.
Fungus detection test
Tests for diagnosis of connective tissue disease
TRICHOGRAM: In this hair is examined under the microscope for
various hair dysfunctions
